Puppy/Kitten Exams

We recommend coming in for their first puppy or kitten exam when they are around 8 weeks old.

The typical schedules are as follows:

Puppy exam
1st Distemper Vaccine
Deworming
Fecal Exam
1st Kennel Cough Vaccine (optional-recommended for dogs in contact with other dogs at parks, groomers, boarding facilities, etc)

12 weeks:
Puppy exam
2nd Distemper Vaccine
Deworming
Rabies Vaccine
1st Lyme Vaccine (optional-recommended for dogs at risk of getting ticks)
2nd Kennel Cough Vaccine (optional-recommended for dogs in contact with other dogs at parks, groomers, boarding facilities, etc)

16 weeks:
Puppy exam
3rd Distemper Vaccine
2nd Lyme Vaccine (optional-recommended for dogs at risk of getting ticks)
1st Leptospirosis Vaccine (optional-recommended for dogs exposed to outdoor water sources)

19 weeks:
2nd Leptospirosis Vaccine

**After the 19 week visit your puppy will be fully vaccinated for one year. We recommend spaying or neutering at 6 months of age.**
